Invent

The Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and Industry Disruptors Game Changers (ID-GC) have partnered up with the support of the Greek Mobile Operators Association (EEKT), for the creation of Invent ICT, a tech-incubator that is based in Athens, Greece.

Aiming at the development of innovative entrepreneurship and a new generation of technological progress through the creation of new & viable business, Invent ICT calls for students, researchers and graduates of Polytechnic Schools who have a creative idea in the field of Information and Communication Technologies to join the incubator!

The program is based on the personalized consulting methodology, as it has been developed by the ICCS of the NTUA, and is making use of ID-GC‘s experience and international network on issues of extroversion, mentoring and business incubation.

Teams entering the program have the chance to meet and consult with experienced Executives from both the Market and Academia, who offer practical guidance to help them grow and mature their ideas, turning them into viable business.

Furthermore, Invent ICT is designed around a number of services:

BlueGrowth

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a promising program aiming at equipping aspiring or new entrepreneurs with important skills and knowledge in order to start and run a successful business. It offers the opportunity for participants to communicate, exchange, and share business ideas with experienced peers, and learn to live, work and collaborate with people in the environment of a foreign country.

SEEDplus is the name of our new consortium for cycle 9 of the programme, with the participation of Greece, Bulgaria, UK, Estonia, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal and Spain. Athens Digital Lab

As part of the City of Athens’ Digital Roadmap, with an exclusive grant by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), Athens Partnership with the cooperation of COSMOTE, Nokia and SNF, created the Athens Digital Lab (ADL) for the City of Athens. It’s the 1st early-stage municipal tech incubator, for ”smart cities” solutions. With open competition, ADL invites startups and young researchers to submit their digital ideas,under specific thematic pillars. The proposals are transformed into advanced tech applications, addressing the city’s most pressing challenges, improving the everyday life of Athenians and visitors. A pioneering venture that introduces innovation into the infrastructure of the Municipality and supports youth entrepreneurship. During the 1st Open Call, 4 startups developed their IoT ideas and implemented their pilot applications in the municipality of Athens. Today, in the 2nd round, ADL welcomed 8 new teams, who will also change Athens with their groundbreaking solutions!

Action Finance Initiative

Action Finance Initiative (AFI), a Non-Profit-Civil-Partnership founded in 2014 comes as the answer to a very specific need, that of providing access to funding and business insights to those who have been exluded from the traditional funding channels . AFI’s founding fathers are ActionAid Hellas and the French organization Adie, the leader in microfinancing provision in Western Europe. Action Finance Initiative (AFI), besides providing access to funds with a ceiling of 12,500 Euros to those who cannot access bank lending, offers extensive training and support to those who either retain an existing business and strive to further develop it or those who want to turn their ideas and aspirations into viable businesses. More than 270 existing and newly found business have been funded through AFI leading to the creation of more than 400 jobs while AFI provided much needed funds to startups that nowdays are success stories such as PHEE, Hempoil, Speen, Cleopatra's Sponges etc.

Robotics Academy UoM

Robotics Academy UoM was founded in the vision to transfer the results of international research and emerging Robotics programs to society. The ultimate goals are to increase the applicability of social robots and to acquire learning in an experiential and playful way and inspire everlasting love for learning. Our expertise on the multifactorial and cross-disciplinary nature of designing and developing social robots applications, coming from our academic and applied research record in the field, combined with our experience with actual prototypes in pilot or large-scale applications guides our efforts in the Educational and the Social Robotics.

ReGeneration

ReGeneration is an opportunity for young people to stand out, right here in Greece!

It is an innovative paid placement, and personal and professional development program aimed at talented graduates of all backgrounds interested in taking their first professional steps and distinguishing themselves in Greece.

ReGeneration is a project of the Global Shapers Athens Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum designed to help combat both youth unemployment and the brain drain phenomenon - when talented graduates flee Greece to find employment abroad.

Perrioris College

The People's Trust

The People’s Trust, is a Not-for-Profit Organization, providing micro-funding and free business development services to small and medium-sized enterprises in Athens and Thessaloniki. Our primary goal is to reduce unemployment in Greece by supporting the creation of new jobs through business. We provide funding up to €10,000 aimed at those who want to start a new business or want to further develop their existing small business, but are unable to find other sources of funding. Alternatively, we provide access to interest-free loans of up to €10,000. Since TPT’s launch in 2016, we have provided financing to more than 200 companies. Over 90% of them continue to operate and grow!

New Agriculture for a New Generation

I4G

i4G S.A. (“Incubation for Growth”) is the management company of the first private incubator in Greece established in 2002 and one of the leading high-tech private Incubator in SE Europe. In 16 years of operations, I4G has incubated more than 80 companies, completed numerous projects in Greece and abroad and gained track to all stages of entrepreneurship from idea generation to IPO and related activities (e.g. training, mentoring, coaching, consulting, networking etc). i4G also runs i4G PRO (i4gpro.gr), a pre-incubator/accelerator/co-working space associated with a general acceleration program targeting young University Graduates. i4G PRO is located in the city center across the Aristotle University and offers 100 working spaces to young entrepreneurs to validate their ideas (market, product, technical) and create a working prototype under the supervision of i4G staff and network of local and international mentors.

"The Athens Startup Business Incubator (Th.E.A.) is one of the most important initiatives of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) for entrepreneurship promotion. It supports innovative new business ideas with a strong extroversion potential.

Th.E.A was established in 2014, with the support of the Municipality of Athens and with funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the NSRF 2007-2013 funding framework (Project Ref. No. 465418). Currently, Th.E.A. is a self-financed initiative of ACCI, kindly assisted and supported on multiple levels by the Region of Attica.

Through Th.E.A. ACCI aims at strengthening and advancement of entrepreneurship in multiple economic sectors with a particular focus on:

- high tech areas exploring cutting edge technologies and technological innovations
